All LFTs? I would have guessed that this relates to full lung function testing in a hospital setting, rather than spirometry in an OHS or general practice? Though ... I have to say it makes sense. The providers of commercial training in spirometry actually charge more, I think. A charitable/educational body like the BTS would be more cost-effective. Kate >>> <[log in to unmask]> 10/12/02 19:31:47 >>> hello all, more interesting is the proposed plans to ensure that all people undertaking LFT's in the future are registered through the BTS, and have undertaken their criteria for training (and coughed...pardon the pun...up the £60 odd quid to register. This surely is going to have large and long term implications for all OH professionals. My question is when are the other screening test (vision/audio) going to go through similar standard setting and registration?? regards, Glenn Raybone (RGN) Wolverhampton NHS Trust
