There are many possible sources e.g. www.swarb.co.uk as a start point for
legal sites.
Lexis also works in UK but is a subscription service
The most accurate (and free) are the government publishing of findings :
http://www.employmentappeals.gov.uk/
www.courtservice.gov.uk
www.lcd.gov.uk
All of these are awful to search, and you need to know what you are looking
for.
There is no substitute for reading Diana Kloss's book.
You will get both Diana and I on the same speaker list at Trent Occupational
Medicine Symposium in Nottingham on Thursday 24th October, the subject is
Clinical Dilemmas "Weighing the Evidence".
Bookings can be made through Ian Aston at Queens Medical Centre in
Nottingham 0115 970 9268

Dear Dawn,

Here in the USA there is Westlaw and Lexis, the subscription based legal
adatbases. I do not know of any resources for legal analysis that are free,
although federal laws and opinions are posted for free on the web. If you
are interested in an annual synthese if USA and internaitonal legal
information in occupational healht, you can get my treatise on Westlaw.com
or in hard copy from West Publications, called DESIGNING AN EFFECTIVE OSHA
COMPLIANCE PROGRAM> I have tried to find out whether there is a parallel
work in the UK but thusfar have not heard of one. I hope this is helpful,
and of course, I remain available to consult on specific legal issues if i
can be of help.
All the best, Ilise
