Mike, Thanks for your kind words I have perhaps been too generous in suggesting society areas but would like to think we could have meetings South of Bristol and North of Preston as often as possible. As for the debate re close connections with the NCA / BCRA. They are currently in negotiations to call themselves Underground Britain reflecting the wide range of interests they are representing . NAHMO will also remain as a constituent body and have similar status to the regional Caving Councils under the present negotiations. I still have the view that there are opportunities to align aspects of NAHMO interest into the proposed structures equally I fully realise and so do the Caving Organisations recognise that NAHMO has a very definite function to represent a much wider range of interest other than just underground exploration and so may it continue. I hope that we can ensure that NAHMO has a long term future that continues to stand alongside other organisations but is not so naive that it tries to Divorce itself completely.
