This strengthens the suggestion that perhaps he was the source for naming the Beaumont seam, but if I check with Trueman, on "The Coalfields of Great Britain" (p 301) he notes that the seam is only known that way in the Northumberland field and that in both parts of Durham it is the Harvey.
