Hi ALL We have a number of pathways -and the risk assessment is very fluid as all guidelines or policies should be- as women are people and not machines. We no longer add up the numbers but take into consideration whether the risk is medical, obstetric- pregnancy or birthing or psychosocial issues. Depending on the risk, the woman will be referred to the appropriate person - obstetric staff, social worker or midwifery team etc. Lyndall Mollart Clinical Nurse Consultant Central Coast Health NSW.
