The President's Commission „History of the Kaiser Wilhelm Society in the National Socialist Era"
announces:


FELLOWSHIPS     DEADLINE: 27 May 2002
The research program "History of the Kaiser Wilhelm Society in the National Socialist Era" is offering fellowships for a 2-6 month term in 2003/2004 for scholars, who would like to do research in the field "Kaiser-Wilhelm-Institutes during the National Socialist era". Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in history, history of science or natural sciences.
Proposed projects should contribute to the areas of investigation of the research group. Further information about the general goals and central issues of the research program are available under http://www.mpiwg-berlin.mpg.de/kwg. Regular presence in Berlin and attendance of the research group's weekly colloquium are expected. During their stay, scholars are expected to deliver a public lecture and submit an article about their results.
Visiting scholars of the research program will get an office with full technical equipment and may use the library service of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science for their work. Remuneration will be arranged individually according to the personal conditions and specific qualifications of the applicant. 
Applicants for a fellowship (2-6 months) are asked to propose the planned duration of their stay and should send a short research prospectus (1-2 pages) along with their curriculum vitae by May 27th, 2002, to the research director Dr. Carola Sachse.
