QuickTime handles audio files pretty well and works across browsers and
platforms.

Subject: Netscape and Windows Media Players

Netscape 6 doesn't seem to want to play Windows Media Audio files. I've
been trying to get files such as
http://www.le.ac.uk/emoha/schools/toys/sound.html to stream straight
from the web page. This works fine in IE but not in Netscape. Has anyone
managed to sort this out.

If not does anyone have a better sound format that will work well across
browsers and operating systems?
