Dear David,

Many thanks for this. Let's hope it becomes a de facto standard. I'm going
to ask the museums of Surrey if they're happy to go this way.

Some people are going to be confused by the presence of methodology-defined
terms (archaeology), materials terms (costume and textiles), functional
terms (health) and period terms (past societies), not realising that an
excavated Viking bandage can and should appear under all those headings.

Does cornocopia have plans to develop image links to the top levels?

Best wishes,

Pat

Try looking at the 'background' section of Cornucopia
 www.cornucopia.org.uk

This is based on a lot of existing work and has been 'road-tested'!

We are planning to extend this to cover museums across the country - so are
currenty starting on the designated museums that aren't in the pilot areas
of the SW and W Midlands.
