UK MARC sites may be interested to know that Glasgow University Library has successfully converted to MARC21. Preparation for this project took place over several months. However the actual process of exporting our existing UK MARC bibs & authorities (almost 1 million recs), conversion of all of these to MARC21, and reloading back to our system took just over 2 weeks, without requiring system downtime.
