Thank you to everyone who replied - I thought I'd summarise for the list as it may be useful for lots of us! Overwhelming response is that it is appropriate to put Appendices in the order in which you refer to them, and that if it is not referred to in the text, it probably isn't a necessary appendix. The only exception is CV and job descriptions which must be included anyway. Thanks again for everyone's help - and good luck to you all! Thanks Rozz Evans
