Date: Monday and Tuesday 22nd & 23rd July, 2002 The course covers: SPSS; revision of basics; presentation/tabulation of multivariate data; coping with confounding factors by partialling out/adjusting covariance; partial correlation; unbalanced analysis of variance; factor analysis; structural equation modelling in EQS; logistic regression; Taught by David Boniface (statistician, graduate psychologist and health researcher) and Neil Spencer (statistician specialising in social applications). An intermediate level course for those with a working knowledge of statistics. Suitable for those who wish to improve their competence and confidence and particularly those who need to apply these techniques in their research. The course is organised as a combination of lectures and workshops in an air-conditioned statistics teaching laboratory.
