Further information: You will be responsible for providing staff development
workshops, materials and consultancy to a range of staff and departments in
the use of C&IT, primarily for learning, teaching and assessment. You will
support the C&IT aspects and open learning modules of the Postgraduate
Certificate in Learning and Teaching in HE. Working closely with other
units in the University, you will undertake a major role in bringing forward
the new Information Fluency programme. Within SDDU you will have a
web-development role, and will assist with the development of e-learning to
support staff development.

You should have experience of using C&IT, including web-based learning
environments, to support learning, teaching and assessment in HE. You will
also have experience of designing web- and paper-based learning materials,
teaching students or staff using different C&IT approaches, and website
design. Knowledge of flexible learning, web authoring packages/languages
and HE issues are essential. You must be committed to providing a high
quality staff development service. A self-starter, you will be able to work
independently and with a wide range of staff and teams and will have
excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, organisational and
administrative skills. A qualification in teaching in HE or in open and
distance learning and/or membership of ILT would be an advantage.
