Subject: Appointment of Additional ILT Accreditors

APPOINTMENT OF ADDITIONAL ACCREDITORS FOR THE ILT

A core component of the ILT Accreditation Department is the pool of around
50 accreditors who have been recruited to work on an ad hoc basis with the
Accreditation Department in the implementation of its accreditation
activities. The work of the Accreditors is currently growing in scope to
include:

* assessment of initial entry route applications
*       institutional course/programme accreditation
* additional development work with the ILT Accreditation officers

The ILT wishes to recruit additional Accreditors to work with the current
team. Applicants need to demonstrate that they have experience of:

* subject based teaching and tutoring in HE
*       course design and development
*       course management and leadership
*       course validation and review
* leadership of professional development programmes
* development of innovatory practice in learning and teaching
* accreditation and external subject review

Successful candidates will be members of the Institute, or working towards
obtaining membership in the very near future. We try to appoint individuals
from a good spread of disciplines and applications will be particularly
welcomed from individuals who work within research-oriented universities and
colleges of HE and/or have a background in social sciences, education,
physical sciences, biosciences, medicine and subjects allied to medicine.

For an application form, including detailed description of the role and
person specification, please see http://www.ilt.ac.uk/

Alternatively, please email [log in to unmask] or contact the
Accreditation Department for further information.

Previous applicants may re-apply but will need to submit a new application.

Closing date for applications: 21st June 2002
