I am trying to get in touch with course leaders who have recieved guides
about the adjustments suggested for the accessability of Curricula for
disabled students. If this is relevant to you please could you consider
and comment on the following questions as part of ongoing research at
Sheffield Hallam University. Your comments will greatly help us with our
work.

* Are recommendations for reasonable adjustments for disabled students (i.e
note taking help, extended time in exams etc) negotiated between you, the
accademic, and the students , or a disability specialist and teh student,
or any other combination?

* Would you as a result of such reasonable adjustments go back and ammend
Learning Outcomes and/or Assessment criteria for the module/unit?

* Have you received a copy of "Accessibile Curricula: Good Practice for
All", "Teachability: Creating an Accessible Curriculum for Students with
Disabilities" or equivalent including documents developed in-house? (if so
have you read this, how useful was it, content and format etc?)

* If you received such a book, when would you be likely to consult it?

* Who do you think such booklets should be directed at? Accademic staff,
disabilities support teams or any others?

* Have you ever thought about changing your curricula to make it more
accessible for disabled students (if yes were you able to do this? What
changes did you make? What barriers to the changes you wanted to make did
you encounter?)

* If you were to make changes what do you think would be most helpful to
you in terms of a resourse?

Any comments on anything mentioned here would be very greatfully received.
