Two positions are currently available as part of the expansion of the GIS Department in Halcrow Geomatics. The department undertakes a variety of GIS projects for a range of clients in the UK as well as overseas. Continuous development of GIS collection tools is seen paramount to the success of the department. The candidate’s principal duties will involve all aspects of GIS data collection, manipulation and presentation. Use of GIS packages ArcView (3.2 & 8) or MapInfo will be required along with all other office computing skills. You will be working in a close team assisting other GIS and non-GIS staff with all aspects of project related work. After 3-6 months experience within Halcrow, consideration will be given to secondment to our major clients in the southeast of England so it is essential that the candidate be based here. The candidate must be a good team member & self motivated. They should be able to deal with the public on a daily basis, be physically fit and hold a current driving licence. The candidate should have a geographic background and preferably a degree in a related subject.
