A four-year full
grant for completing a PhD Thesis within a new research project funded by the
Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology is available at the Fission Track
Laboratory of the University of Cádiz (Spain).
The subject of the
PhD project is: “Thermal evolution of the Cameros Basin (Iberian Cordillera)
assessed by fission track analysis and high precision Ar-Ar geochronology”.
This PhD subject
is included and economically supported by a new research project entitled:
“Thermal histories of Western Iberian and Southern Pyrenees basins and basements
assessed by fission track thermochronology and other geochronological and
mineralogical tools” which is part of an inter-universitary project involving
the Universities of Cádiz, Zaragoza and Burgos.
Pre-requisites:

A First degree
or Master degree in geology or similar subject officially recognized by the
Spanish government. Any candidate already included in any of the doctoral
programs of any public university in Spain is considered to have his/her degree
officially recognized.

Good knowledge
of Spanish and English languages
The person will be
based at the University of Cádiz.
