EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

August 2002: Haley Sharpe has been highly successful in building up its North American museums and heritage attractions consultancy, interpretative planning and design business.

We are now looking for several people to join us at this exciting moment in the Company's history. We need experienced and qualified interpretative planners and research assistants who enjoy travel and could represent Haley Sharpe in its work with clients in the UK, USA, Canada and elsewhere, including Southern Africa and the Middle East.


  1. Interpretation Consultant

Will be a member of the interpretative planning team in our Consultancy & Interpretation Division, working to the Partners and the Head of Interpretation

Will have substantial experience* of interpretative planning in a museums/heritage attraction context
Likely to have academic specialisation in archaeology, ethnography or another relevant discipline at postgraduate level and/or substantial relevant career experience, which could usefully include educational practice or theory.

Will represent the Company at intermediate/senior level; liaison between clients and Haley Sharpe.
Responsible for:

*Experience likely to include 5 years plus in museums, heritage or similar, with relevant academic qualification.

Remuneration negotiable, dependant on experience.


  1. 2. Researcher

Will be a member of the interpretative planning team within the Consultancy & Interpretation Division
Working to the Head of Interpretation and the three Interpretative Consultants
Likely to be a history/humanities/natural science graduate or postgraduate; with proven research experience*; highly literate and articulate.

Will represent the Company at intermediate level under the supervision of Interpretative Consultants
Duties will include:

*Experience likely to include 1-2 years in appropriate employment and/or higher degree (Masters or PhD). 

Remuneration negotiable, dependant on experience.
