Economics LTSN is organising a residential two day workshop
for recently appointed lecturers. Whether you are new to
teaching economics or just bored with "dictative learning"
and want to try something different, come to our
residential workshop in Bristol. You will find out about
various approaches, methods and resources for learning and
teaching Economics, including active learning, effective
assessment, problem-based learning, case studies, games and
simulations, use of Web and virtual learning environments
(such as Blackboard and WebCT).

Being subject-specific, the event will complement any
generic-based institutional courses. Each day of the
workshop will focus on a theme so that delegates can opt to
attend either or both days. The theme for the first day is
Teaching and Learning; for the second it is Use of ICT.
