THE UNIVERSITY OF MANCHESTER REGISTRAR AND SECRETARY’S DEPARTMENT OFFICE OF THE ACADEMIC REGISTRAR DISABILITY (EXAMINATIONS) OFFICER (REF 615/02) Applications are invited for the post of Examinations Officer to join a small team in providing a quality support service to students with disabilities. This new post has been established to enhance our provision of support for students with disabilities. The position is available with immediate effect. The post-holder will be primarily concerned with co-ordinating the arrangements for students with examination additional support needs and for liaising with academic departments on these matters. The person appointed will also be involved more generally in the work of the Disability Support Office through, for example, general administration, student advice and assisting in staff training and with the development of policies. Applicants must have a first degree or equivalent qualification or extensive experience of working in an administrative office in higher education and must have experience of working with people with a disability or of organising or administering examinations. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills are essential together with the ability to work accurately under pressure, independently or as part of a team. Salary will be on the scale for Administrative Staff Grade 1 / 2 £17,451 to £26,229 according to level of experience.
