CLAUD is pleased to announce the following publication:

Sandra Jones. Recommendations To Improve Accessibility
for Disabled Users in Academic Libraries.
Bristol: CLAUD, 2002. 51p. spiral binding. ISBN 0954381807.

CLAUD is a consortium of libraries in higher education
networking to improve library access for users with
disabilities in South and Southwest England. Between 2000
and 2002 it ran the HEFCE-funded Claudine Project, one of
whose tasks was to survey CLAUD's 16 member institutions in
order to monitor levels of service delivery to students
with disabilities.

This publication is a contribution to the compilation of
standards of good practice in the UK academic library
sector. Its summary of conclusions and recommendations on
physical access, services and equipment is accompanied by
the detailed questions and results of the questionnaires.

Price, including postage and package, £7.50.
