I suffered from a beain haemorrhage, leaving me with disabilities, the main problem I have found is gettting employers to awknowledge and adapt when all of my conditions are invisible. The RNIB have advised on full disclusure of my difficulties within application forms, but the only seems to lead employers to ignoring my application. I have been advised to remove any mention of my disability until I have got an interview. I am comforted that I am not the only person with this problem, but do disabled people have to try twice as hard to get an interview! AGCAS, the national Association of Graduate Careers Services, has put a lot of work into challenging employer attitudes, documenting support available and improving career options for disabled student. The links others on Disforum refer to should be available through any HE Careers Service, and likely on their websites. Carolyn Morris [log in to unmask]
