I use the DAST and I think it's very good ,but I find that it tends to 'screen in' rather than 'screen out'. If you use it be sure to plot the student's profile and note whether the profile is flat, in which case there is no discrepancy and the difficulties are more likely to be general than specific, or spiky, in which case your criteria are satisfied.
