dear all

The next DPC Forum will take place on Tuesday 15 October. Final programme below.

With the growth of distance learning and an increasing effort to digitise collections and package them for use in education in school, colleges, and universities, developing digital respositories and standards for managing learning objects are growing issues. Our first theme focuses on repositories and preservation of e-learning and leading initiatives in the field. Our second theme for the forum is cost models for digital preservation and speakers from industry and the public sector will address approaches and aspects of digital preservation costs.

Priority allocation of places is being given to members of the DPC but we will create a reserve list for non-members to attend at a charge of £150 per person for any unfilled places. If you have not already done so can you please let me know asap if you would like to join the reserve list for non-members to attend the forum. Requests for payment of the non-member attendance rate will be issued on 27th September and places confirmed on receipt of payment.
