Still, I felt the effect of the Newsnight report wasn't altogether depressing. The people being "interviewed" seemed to me to break up the whole media game quite effectively - what they were about wasn't for broadcasting. The combined media heads might have been patronising and snide, but they were also perceptibly baffled. In my opinion, there's nothing else to be wished for.
