the RF signal from the Cellular phone may be saturating the input
amplifiers of your equipment. This is what Surgical diathermy does in theatre to
monitoring equipment.
To reduce your interference, can I suggest that you minimise the cross
sectional area of the loop of cables in your setup. Using twisted pairs and
screened wires also helps. Modern ECG cables use a trunk cable and then a
fan split out for each electrode.
The loop effect is easily demonstrated in ECG when you open the leads out
or pull them closer together. Any noise is increased or decreased.
It may be that you are measuring very small signals.
