The main ones currently used are:

FileMaker Pro (Mac)
Access (PC)
SIRSI Workflows (used for slides as well as the books)
Most reported that the above were fine for generating labels and DACS
returns
Headfast (headsoftware)

Access (PC)
Gallery System (eg TMS (for museums), EmbARK & ImageAXS)
