Book Chutes

We are considering installing a `book-chute' in the Royal Academy of Arts
Library, to enable us to quickly remove book-stock in the event of a
disaster.

I understand that this is a long tube, made from soft material, similar to
that used to evacuate passengers from aeroplanes and works on the same
principle as those plastic tubes that are used to direct building rubble
from upper-storey windows into skips below.

I've not been able to trace any manufactures of book chutes and wondered
whether anyone out there has one installed and could provide me with names
of suppliers.

Many thanks,
Adam.
