Some time ago, I attended a conference where someone gave a paper on mitochondrial DNA. I am pretty sure he said that when carrying out analysis of hair (the shaft without the root), the results varied along the shaft. I am very keen to get in touch with this person but just can't remember any more of the details. Did anyone else on the list attend this meeting?
