Douglas Braid, now deceased, lived in Merton Park. He published at least one paper in the Trans Newcomen Soc. and was interested in John Wilkinson. He started Merton Priory Press, since taken over by Philip Riden. He also published in one of the Journals of the Ordnance Soc., and was a member of the Wealden Iron Research Group.
