Hopefully the lab to lab communication project will be able to solve some of
your EDI needs between laboratorys.

This project hopes to start a pilot soon. But if anyone is interested they
can read the end of stage 1 report at http://129.11.239.213/labtolab/

Subject: [ACB-CLIN-CHEM-GEN] Reports on request referred to other labs

We are a heavy outward referrer, as shown in our recent benchmarking
report. This is intentional.

1 We register the request on our LIMS
2 A report goes to the requesting clinician which says the request is
being referred, and where it is going.
3 We generate a computer printed report which goes to the lab to which
we are referring the work*
4 The report is copy typed into our LIMS, again stating where the
analysis was performed*

* We have had EDI links for many years with Charing Cross Medical
Oncology . Would that more was done like this.
