I am currently evaluating the syva EMIT MTX assay on the Cobas Integra 800. It is stated that the Syva method is only accurate down to a level of 0.3 umol/L, our current protocols for the treatment of childhood leukaemias state that MTX levels should be monitored until they fall below 0.1 umol/L. I am interested to hear from other users of the syva kit as to how they have dealt with this problem and if it is reliable below levels of 0.3 umol/L and how they have reported very low levels.
