Subject: POCT Osmometers

Hello

An ICU on an adjacent unit to our hospital has enquired about having their
own osmometer. This is so results can be available immediately for ward
rounds which happen early in the morning. Hence it might also help our O/C
staff get some sleep.

Have any of you gone down this road and if so with what equipment? Do you
know of osmometers that work with whole blood or is centrifugation required
in practice?

Best wishes

Steve
