Call for abstracts -- Optimisation stream YOR 13 - 13th Young Operational Research Conference 1-3 April 2003, University of Bath, Bath (U.K.) The Young Operational Research conference is a well-established biannual event organised by the UK Operational Research Society. A stream on optimisation will be organised during the 13th Young Operational Research Conference (YOR 13) to be held from 1-3 April 2003 at the University of Bath. The YOR conference is meant to serve as a forum for young operational researchers (people with fewer than 10 years of experience in the field of operational research). It provides an opportunity to present one's work in a non-threatening environment to an audience of peers. As organiser of the Optimisation stream at YOR 13, I invite all young researchers and practitioners to submit an abstract of up to 200 words related to their latest research, developments, and effective applications in any area of optimisation. Abstracts for a presentation in this stream can be sent to me by email ([log in to unmask]) or submitted via the online form available at: http://www.orsoc.org.uk/conf/yor13/book/submission.htm For UK-based authors, financial support to attend the conference is available from the OR Society through the Simpson Awards for young OR people. These awards enable young OR people to attend the YOR 13 Conference, with all expenses paid. Closing date for applications is 31 October 2002. For further information: http://www.orsoc.org.uk/conf/yor13/simpson.htm For more information, consult the conference web site at: http://www.orsoc.org.uk/conf/yor13/main.htm Please circulate this call for abstracts to those who might be interested.
