Clive Seal is currently working Ayle and rumours are that another small mine, Baraclough (?) may be reopening. I have not been to this one but I've been told the drift is inside a stone building. Blenkinsopp is worth a look at nearbye Greenhead and due to close in about 10 weeks time. It is a bit bigger scale than the Alston mines however.
