Dear all, Many readers of Jiscmail lists, may remember when I asked for a vote of the most fascinating library building they have seen, back in summer 2001, for inclusion in my new book titled, the "Book of Library Records" I must admit, as a first time author of a reference book, I had know idea it could takes months for a book to reach a bookshop, even after a major publisher reads your book proposal and "REALLY" likes what they read, and askes for the manuscript. I have over the last few weeks received e-mails from the UK and overseas about when the "Book of Library Records" would be published. Because I had rather optimistically said it was due in spring 2002 on my website promoting the book. I would like to apologise for the late release of the "Book of Library Records" I was really hoping for a spring 2002 (April 2002) publication of the "Book of Library Records", then with that hope dashed by June 2002, I hope summer 2002 will be a possibility. My American publisher who have accepted the manuscript, had informed me last month that because they wanted to fit the my new book's publication with the release of some of their 2002 titles for this year, there would be a "slight" delay before my book is published. I hope everyone eager to get a copy of the book, can wait just a little bit longer. But I will post the publication date, this time once it is official! Thank you.
