Organised jointly by LTSN Generic Centre and JISC TechDis
This one day conference will support staff in understanding the challenges and opportunities that will be presented by the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act, which will affect all education institutions from September 2002. A range of workshops will be held during the day including:
* Accessibility of Lab Practicals / Field Trips / Work Placements
* Introduction to Assistive Technologies
* Accessibility of Web Sites / Online Materials
* Understanding the Needs of Disabled Students
* Teaching Methods and Materials
The conference is aimed at staff developers, pro-VCs and heads of learning and teaching, programme managers of new-lecturer training, as well as LTSN subject centre and JISC RSC staff.
