At the Guildhall School of Music & Drama we are currently investigating Room Booking Systems. One system we are looking at is Celcat, which is primarily a timetabling package. However, we do not actually require a timetabling package as in the future we may use our student database system, SITS, for this process. We considered using SITS as well for Room Bookings, however all we require is a simple booking system for our practice rooms and therefore do not need to link our room bookings to student modules, which is how the facility on SITS works. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who is using Celcat and to know whether you are using it for Room Bookings within your institution. I'd also be grateful for any information regarding other Room Booking packages?
