Fairfield Ohio and is looking to hire a Director. I was
asked to help spread the attached job post.

GENERAL FUNCTION: Develop and administer a Center for
Independent Living by providing leadership, vision, and
overall management. Implement the policies of the Board of
Directors to maximize the independence of people with
disabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Manage finances and supervise staff
* Raise funds and prepare grant applications
* Develop and implement annual and long range plans
* Provide public presentations and outreach activities
* Implement the independent living philosophy
* Interact effectively with the community and other
organizations
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
* Demonstrated fiscal and personnel management skills
* Ability to obtain and manage outside grants and
contracts
* Effective organization, leadership, and communication
skills
* Knowledge and commitment to the independent living
philosophy
* Personal experience with a disability
* Experience with cross-disability issues
* Knowledge of community resources and ADA issues
* Computer skills and knowledge of computer applications
* Bachelors degree (minimum)
CURRENT PROGRAM:
* Budget approximately $300,000 per fiscal year
* Eleven (11) paid staff and numerous volunteers
SALARY RANGE:
* $35,000 to $40,000 per year, based on experience,
plus benefits
* Salary increases based on expansion of funding
base
