Went to a presentation of a very interesting paper on the use of neural networks for analyzing VF. As I understand it neural networks are computers designed for pattern recognition. The thrust of the paper is that VF is not totaly random and that in the future we may have intelligent defibs which analyse VF and select the correct shock or may be advise CPR for 1 minute prior to shock.
