A diversity of philosophical approaches and methodologies is welcome. Each should be mailed, in triplicate and prepared for blind review, to Professor Lani Roberts, Department of Philosophy, Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR 97331. Submissions should be (1) 12 pages in length (25 minutes reading time) on any topic within the general theme, and be accompanied by (2) a 100-150 word abstract, and (3) a brief biography. Expenses involved in the conference necessitate a fee of $65 which will be required of all attendees and paper presenters. Conference papers can also be submitted for publication in the society's Journal of Philosophy in the Contemporary World. Articles should: 1) be clearly and concisely written; 2) treat their subjects in an original and substantive manner; and 3) address the ways philosophy might be applied to contemporary problems, or use the resources of philosophical thought to help define, analyze, clarify, or resolve contemporary problems.
