Like I have said before, the best place to train for
prehospital is outside, in the wind and the rain.
My very first BASICS call out was a reminder of how
lucky I had been in Hospital - and of how to do it
outside.
Basic training in skills in Hospital (controlled).
advanced training preferably outside in adverse
conditions - this is why I advocate the so called
"master class" type course. To keep up the skills of
experienced pre-hosp docs. I'll sign up for one
tommorrow if it becomees available.
The two arenas are really quite different. I want to
how everyone else does it and if I'm doing it right.
