A one-day workshop exploring the application of MARC21 to music
materials
At the end of the day delegates will
be familiar with the provisions of MARC21
be aware of those areas that differ from UKMARC
know those areas of specific relevance to music
have practised the application of MARC21 to real examples
have considered the implications of changing to MARC21 and the
desired outcomes for music materials
The day will begin with a brief (30 mins.) review of AACR2 provisions
for music cataloguing to set the context for the workshop
