International Congress "Environment and Indentity in the Meditarranean Areas" - June 2002

OBJECTIVES
This congress is organized every two years, at the University of Corsica, from June 2000, and every two years at another University of the Mediterranean. It is meant to become a privileged place of meeting and exchange for all researchers in the field of environment and identities. Institutional organizations and corporations may be interested by these meetings.
The theme of the Mediterranean is privileged without being exclusive.

THEMES
Workshop 1 : Environment and Society
Sustainable development ; regulations ; management and economy of the environment ; myths, institutions and politics ; management and sustainable development ; ethics of the environment.
Workshop 2 : Human environment and identities
Languages, literatures, theatre, poetry in the Mediterranean ; genetics and prehistory ; communication and  GIS (Geographic Information Systems) ; agricultural policies ; modern history ; toponymy and social change.
 
 
 

Workshop 3 : Physical environment
Modeling ; simulation ; data processing ; chemical analysis ; sustainable energies ; forest fires ; geophysical fluids ; new technology.
Workshop 4 : Natural environment
Ecology ; agro?resources ; aromatic plants ; biomass ; genetic variability ; molecular markers.

The authors must send a title and a two pages abstract before December 15, 2001. The authors will be asked to send the text of their papers before may 31, 2001 (a maximum of six pages).
