We have been sent a photo (attached) of an oilpainting by the owner, a Mr Vijay Gupta, who is convinced that it is a picture of RK. It seems to me and to Mike Smith pretty clear that it is not RK, and I have said so to Mr Gupta. He insists that 'many scholars' have identified it as RK. It would be helpful if you could take a look at it and let me know if you agree with my view and that of Mike Smith, that it looks more like Mark Twain than RK ! All good wishes, John R
