Subject: Incentives and rewards
Has any library authority used incentive or reward schemes to encourage membership amongst certain groups or to reward members for performing certain tasks (eg. membership of focus groups)? The sort of incentives we were thinking of include free AV loans, free reservations, introduction of a loyalty card etc.
What did you use as the incentive? How did you set up the scheme? How easy was it to administer? How long did it last? Did it work? Do other library users object?
