LTSN Maths, Stats & OR Network, jointly with LTSN Engineering and the UK Centre
for Materials Education, are seeking a Project Co-ordinator (Research
Associate) to be based at the University of Birmingham

Ref S35738/01; £17,278 - £19,293 per annum; closing date 7 September 2001

The LTSN Maths, Stats & OR Network, hosted by the University of Birmingham,
requires a Project Co-ordinator for its new project "Collaborating to Tackle
the Engineering Mathematics Problem" which will support Mathematics,
Engineering and Materials lecturers throughout the UK.  The work will involve
surveying data, gathering case studies and publishing information packs.  

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and IT skills, a
degree with mathematical content, and the ability to prioritise a varied
workload.  A certain amount of travel will be involved, and an interest in
organising events and other activities is desirable.

The appointment will be for a fixed term of 19 months in the first instance.
