we've had three outstanding FACEMs as long term
locum consultants here over the last three years as a
deliberate policy to help us develop the specialty. It
has been a resounding success, especially regarding
the airway issue, where they have demonstrated to
doubters that EPs can safely do this on a daily
basis. It would be a shame if this 'cultural exchange'
is to be prevented, in the interim I would recommend
advertising in Oz to all UK departments (though I
appreciate the attraction here is probably the city
not the job).
