Hello everyone If you're going on holiday soon, you might like to consider suspending your Eurotalk messages so you don't get back to a full intray. It's particularly important to do this if you normally set up an 'automatic reply' message when you're away. (Automatic replies can potentially cause havoc by creating an e-mail 'loop'. They are also sent to anyone sending a message to Eurotalk which can be very off putting to frequent contributors). So - to suspend your mail from Eurotalk, you need to do the following: send a message to [log in to unmask] (note - *not* [log in to unmask]) with this in the text of your message: set eurotalk nomail -- (the two dashes indicate to jiscmail that that is the end of your command, otherwise the system will try to interpret anything after that - like your signature - as a command and get confused). To resume your mail when you get back to the office, send a message to [log in to unmask] with the message: set eurotalk mail -- A full list of all the commands you can use for Eurotalk is available at http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/user-manual/summary-user-commands.htm Any questions - please get back to me.
