Full-time ESRC Case PhD Studentship
Inter-cultural parenting in a multi-faith Britain, in collaboration with
The National Family and Parenting Institute. Supervisors Dr Margaret
O'Brien and Clem Henricson (NFPI).  An investigation of ethnicity in
contemporary families. The candidate can be London based.

Studentships cover full fees and maintenance grant (ESRC basic rate £6,800
per year) for three years with a top-up provided by partner agencies.  The
studentship can be supplemented by payments through writing research and
policy documents for NFPI and seminar teaching at UEA.  Candidates must
have a 1st or 2.1 degree or a relevant Masters or equivalent training.  The
studentship would be of relevance to psychology, sociology or social policy
graduates.

Other Specialisms
We are also seeking applications for PhD study in the areas of psychosocial
studies, especially fatherhood, divorce and separation, attachment theory,
child protection and adoption and fostering. We are eligible for ESRC
Competition Award Studentships on a Mode A basis.

Closing date for applications is 4th June 2001. The Centre is located in an
RAE 5-rated department and has a lively research and teaching culture.
