Can anyone on the list help??

Whilst on holiday in Greece last year I happened upon a largely intact (but derelict), steam-powered 1930s olive oil soap factory. I would like to correspond with anyone who may be able to help me to identify the various types of machinery and processes common to such a plant.

Further info. also sought on a French (?) steam engine manufacturer Georges Averly of Lyon (sic); and an American supplier of steam governor assemblies marked: "Pickering Combination" of "Portland Conn. U.S.A.".
